Anthology sells one-time event purchases you buy a tier for a specific event, and Year 1 of hosting is included. Because you’re purchasing a digital service tied to a dated event, the simple version is: you can get a full refund before your event begins; once your event’s capture window has opened or your album has been generated, the service has been delivered and the purchase is non-refundable. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

One-time event purchases

You may request a full refund at any time before your event’s capture window opens — that is, before the event has started and before any album has been generated.

A purchase becomes non-refundable once any of the following has happened, because the service has been delivered: your event’s capture window has opened, guests have begun contributing photos, or an album has been generated.

Yearly hosting renewals

Year 1 of hosting is included with your purchase. After that, hosting renews annually to keep your album online, at a rate based on how many photos you keep in your curated album. You can cancel a renewal any time before it bills to avoid the next charge. Once a renewal has been charged, that paid year is non-refundable, but your album stays hosted through the end of the paid term. If a renewal charged unexpectedly, contact us within 14 days and we’ll review it as a courtesy.

Retention vs. live access. A hosting renewal pays for live access to your album. That is separate from data retention — the period your album stays preserved and recoverable. If a renewal lapses, your album goes offline, but the data is kept within your plan’s retention window (one to two years on Direct plans, five to seven years on Premium), so you can restore access by renewing during that window. After the retention window ends, the album is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

Add-ons and physical goods

Digital add-ons (such as extended retention or Memory features) are non-refundable once activated, since access begins immediately. Physical or made-to-order goods (such as a photobook) are non-refundable once production has begun; if a physical item arrives damaged or defective, we’ll repair, replace, or refund it — contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos.

Discount codes

Refunds are issued for the amount actually paid, after any discount. A redeemed single-use code is not reinstated after a refund, and promotional pricing is not applied retroactively to prior purchases.

How to request a refund

Because Paddle is our Merchant of Record, refunds are issued through Paddle to your original payment method. Email hello@anthologystudios.com (or use the link on your Paddle receipt) with your order ID and the reason. Approved refunds typically arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Your statutory rights

This policy does not override rights you have under applicable law. EU and UK consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service; by starting your event within that period you acknowledge the service has begun and may lose the right to cancel for the delivered portion. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Formal payment disputes are handled through Paddle as Merchant of Record.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Questions?
